CONDUCTOR

Since January 2020, Nick has been currently Director of Girl Choristers at Holy Trinity Church, Guildford, where he is responsible for the training and conducting of the Girls & Adults Choir. He also conducts a new scratch chamber choir in London, called Coro42, which launched at the end of 2019 with an evensong at Charter House Chapel.

Nick began conducting at the age of 16 when he set up Cadenza Youth Choir in Guildford. Within a year he was conducting at Southwark Cathedral, and he has gone on to conduct at a number of high profile performances - for example in St Paul's Cathedral, Truro Cathedral, and Canterbury Cathedral.

He is also becoming known as a conducting tutor, and has regularly taught on Sing for Pleasure courses in the last few years. In addition, he has recently begun giving conducting masterclasses at the University of Reading.

Nick has a specialism in new music, and has conducted premieres by Will Todd, Pawel Lukaszewski, Richard Allain, and Matthew Wood. He also has experience conducting orchestras, having been Conductor of the Hertford College Orchestra for two years.
